Rumours suggest Qualcomm will no longer be Apple's main chip supplier as Intel receives contract.

It's a big win for Intel, as Apple has decided to ditch Qualcomm in favour for Intel, according to reports.

Apple's upcoming iPhone will use modems chips from Intel, replacing Qualcomm's version which have been embedded in the latest smartphone. The AT&T variant in the US will feature an Intel chip instead of the customary Qualcomm solution.
